Half Day

Today we had a half day because a soldier at our church died. It has been a really big deal and the teachers always talk about it. It was really crowded when we were leaving school because of all the people coming. They put flags up around the whole building and we made projects to use as decoration. Today we were supposed to wear red to school because the guy who died, Christopher Patterson, had red hair. I say soldiers going into the school! My mom baked cookies for the people coming to eat. Today wasn't even the real funeral, it was just the visitation. The public middle school had no school today but I don't know why.
