Family Sickness

Caroline was sick last week and after she got better, I got sick. I am all better now, but Isaac is of course sick today! And we were going to go ice skating!

Bored

Being sick is boring. I am watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I also just watched Octonauts. It was really cute, they saved buluga wales and chased sharks.

I Am Sick

I am sick today and will not be going to school. I am, sadly, missing basketball and the pep rally! Not to mention my two year perfect attendance record. :(

Spelling Bee

We are having the spelling bee today and my brother is in it. He was also in the geography last week. I hate school sometimes!

Alarm

I did not want to wake up this morning! I let my alarm go on for 10 minutes before I actually got up. I wish we could go to school whenever we want as I mentioned in an earlier post.

History Project

I am working on yet another history project right now. It is about Ancient Greece. We have to do a PowerPoint on something to do with Ancient Greece and I got the Mycenaean culture. What in the world??? I had no idea what it was. Apparently it is some Ancient Greece civilization that came after the Minoans. It was easy until now. I found most of the easy information, but I'm getting to the point where I have to Google really specific questions and it really isn't working to well. I can't find much on their clothes and I can't find anything good on their hair and makeup!!!

School

Urgh, the weekend is over. I am sad. I love school and all, but don't get me wrong. It's still hard to go back to school on Monday, especially when you have a game or meet afterwards like I do tomorrow. Why can't we just choose our school days and they have to total up to at least 100 at the year's end? That would be really fun! We may miss out on quite some learning, but it would be really cool to only have a few people in a class each day. You would have to text your friends and ask if they would be going to school the next day! Awesome! Who wants Sarah for president?!?!

Snow Everywhere

I have no idea why I wrote that title. They were just two words that were in my mind and seemed to go together. You know what? I think I'll right a story with that title! I'm going to get started right now. I can't wait till it's done! I'll put it on my blog when it is.

Diced Tomatos

My mom is talking to someone on the phone about diced tomatos. She has to get diced tomatos for 45 people I think. My sister and her friend are downstairs playing wii with my brother and my dad is on a plane. My mom just said, "I sound pretty bad, but I feel pretty good."

Half Day

Today we had a half day because a soldier at our church died. It has been a really big deal and the teachers always talk about it. It was really crowded when we were leaving school because of all the people coming. They put flags up around the whole building and we made projects to use as decoration. Today we were supposed to wear red to school because the guy who died, Christopher Patterson, had red hair. I say soldiers going into the school! My mom baked cookies for the people coming to eat. Today wasn't even the real funeral, it was just the visitation. The public middle school had no school today but I don't know why.

1) How does somebody know how to spell verification but not know how to spell fragrance?!?!?!

Star Wars

Does no one like Stars Wars because I really like it! Me and my brother used to LOVE it so much! I was als0 really adicted to dinosaurs. I still like both of them, but there really is nothing I'm completely into anymore. I really like chickens, but I'm not into that like I was Star Wars and dinosaurs. I guess I'll just have to like multiple things. I like bugs, chickens, Star Wars, dinosaurs, farming, and other stuff, too. I went digging for worms a few days ago and I couldn't find any. My friend reminded me that it was winter. That was a big "duh!" moment.

iPad

Ok, so I figured out that the cheapest iPad costs $499. Guess what? I have that much money I think! But I don't think I am going to get one anytime soon. Maybe I while and maybe I won't, I have no idea. It would be pretty cool though. Also, it would be better than just buying a new iPod because I was going to do that because I can't do lots of things and get lots of apps because I have an older version.

Snow

We just went out and played in the snow and went sledding. It was really fun! Caroline and I went out yesterday too while my dad was snow blowing. We had to dodge all the snow that it spat out! I love snow, but I only like snow days sometimes. Many people say I'm weird...

Longest Day Ever

Yesterday was a really long day at school for me. I was there from 7:45 am to 6:40 pm. I had basketball at 7:45 till 8:15, next I had school from 8:30 to 3:00, after school I had dance practice till 4:30, and I had basketball till 6:30 straight after that. I didn't end up going home until 6:40! It was still really fun though.

Practice Makes Perfect

I know practice makes perfect and all, but why can't practice be simple? I guess no one ever said it would be fun either. Well, it's really easy but it's getting boring to do all alone, dancing to something for a few seconds, using the same moves over and over. well, one more thing. I finished my homework, yay! Now I need to go to the bathroom. Then I might practice my dance, I dunno. I kinda feel like it and kinda don't. Is kinda a slang word? Is y'all a slang word? Is slang a slang word? Are slang words in the dictionary? Please answer all my questions! I must know the history of slang for a report! I have a basketball game tomorrow already. It is against St. John Lombard. Is it St. John's or St. John? I need that for another report. Just kidding, I have no more reports right now. I just finished them all. So I have just finished two things, my reports and my homework. What a lucky duck I am! But seriously, I want to know the answers to all of my questions just 'cause. Homework

I'm doing my history homework right now and I'm almost done! I am taking notes and reading. I am happy that that is all the homework I have because I want to practice my dance for the talent show. I still am having trouble with the new things we just learned on Sunday.

Opposite Day

From lunch time today, it has been opposite day for a variety of people at our school. The youngest being 2nd grade and the oldest being in 6th grade. Just four words: thank goodness it's over! It really wasn't actually terrible, just hard to communicate.

Basketball Game

We just had yet another basketball game and we won, again. I haven't lost any of the three games I have played in so far! I'm undefeated, but my team has lost once. I have scored in all of my games. The first one 2 points, the second one 4, and the one that we just played 4 aswell. So I have a total of 10 points! Double-digits, yay! The only thing that stinks about basketball, I have to take a shower after each game!!!

Talent Show

Every year at our school we have a talent show and me and some of my friends are doing a dance. We have only had one practice and we have another today, but so far it's been pretty fun.

Yesterday, I had a basketball game and we won! I scored 4 points in a row! It was really fun!

School Happenings

Today we had recess and I tried to dig for worms for a little bit but apparently, worm don't like hills. It didn't really work, but it was fun to squish the mud! After I tried digging for worms, my friends made me try to be proper all day and they would rate me at the end of the day. I didn't do so well, got mostly 0s. My best was a 5. I also got a 2 or 3. I even made a tie out of a scarf! In case you didn't get the memo, I didn't find any worms.

Back 2 School, Oh Joy

Today was our first day back at school. I know of some people who went back yesterday, some who go back tomorrow, and others who still have another free week! I have to say, it is good to be back. I really don't mind school once I'm there, but a break is always nice. Especially when a holiday is involved! Merry Late Christmas Ya'll!

First Day Back

Well, it turns out I am going to school today whether I like it or not. I don't really want to, but it seems that I am. I hate the first week after break, especially the first day. Oh well, it has to happen so I might as well get it over with. I think my sickness was just food poisoning, hopefully. See ya.

More on skiing lessons

Another annoying thing about the skiing lady is that she told us we couldn't go on any slopes other than the green ones we went on in lessons. In case you aren't familiar with skiing, green ones are the easiest, blues are more difficult, and blacks are most difficult. After that, the lady had annoyed me so much that I didn't go on any greens after that. :)

Skiing

Isn't it weird how when you add 'ing' to ski, there are two 'i' s? Sorry, just thought it was strange. I went skiing in Michigan and it was really fun...mostly. I had skiied 2 times before that and I still had to take lesons! They were terrible, torture!!! The lady was mean, too. It's to much to type out everything I hated so I'll just tell you a few things. We finally went down a real hill other than the bunny hill at the very end and she made us do hand motions and go in a single file snake line down the whole moutain! She kept getting mad at us for the stupidest things, too!!! Well she can't blame us for acting disgusted! We were, we were in a class with some kids 5 or 6 years younger than us when we have skiied and taken lessons before! My parents said I won't have to take lessons next time. :)

Michigan

I just got back from Michigan visiting our friends, the Baermanns. It was really fun! The drive there took 3 hours, but it was worth it. We played basketball, soccer, went skiing, went in the hot tub, gave Manchester, their dog, a shower and took him on walks, ate, watched TV, made a box fort, went on the computer, and more! It was so fun, I hope we can do it again someday.

I'm Sick

I'm sick today and I don't really know why. It stinks, I hate being sick! And it's my last day of break too! I might get an extra day of vacation...
