Basketball

I had my first summer basketball practice this afternoon. Only 4 of us showed up but it was still fun. I have a broken thumb currently so I had to play using only my left hand. It was strange... :)

Another rainy day...

It's another rainy day here in Illinois. :( It's the second day of summer 2013 (we got out of school on Tuesday, June 4). I wish it was sunny soooo much. These are some of the things I feel like doing right now:
1-going on a Target shopping spree!
2-visiting Florida and biking on the beach in the late afternoon sun ;(
3-buying a new bike (I especially want a beach cruiser at the moment. They are so cute!)
My friend is in Florida right now, but she said it is really rainy there this week.

Track is over. I am so sad. It is the best sport in the world.

Track

We had out first track meet today. I loved it, it was so much fun! I did the 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, 4x200 meter, and shotput. LOVE LOVE LOVED IT

Easter

Happy Easter! He is risen!

RIP George

My best fish ever died yesterday. ;(
His name was George McSnuggie and many of you probably knew him. He was two years old when he died. You could not ask for a better betta. He used to love cuddling up against his filter and hanging out with his toy penguin. I love you George and will never forget our fun times together. Goodbye.

Tooth

I got my first ever tooth pulled yesterday. It wasn't bad at all and I could hardly feel a thing! I was very proud of myself for not crying at all. If you ever have to get a tooth pulled, don't be scared going into it or it makes you nervous.

Last Game

We just had our last basketball game earlier today. Sadly, we lost and are now out of the state tournament. I'm pretty sure everyone is upset that the season is over and I will miss all the 8th graders sooo much next year. I had tons of fun with all of the team and I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. Thanks coaches and players for a great season!!

Snow Day

We have a snow day today, but I am very angry about it. We were going to have a field trip and we had to finish a project due tomorrow! I am very upset.

Long Day

Today felt really looooong, anyone else? It has been so long, that I forgot what day it was! I didn't even have anything going on..creepy. Maybe because it stays light outside longer these days. Who knows!

Third

We got third place in our basketball tournament by winning our last game. I felt like all of us played really well compared to the game before that. We got medals and a blue trophy.

Second Game

We just played in the second game of our basketball tournament. The first game we won, but the second we lost. :( We are sitting in the gym watching another game now. After this we play for 3rd/4th in a few hours. Come on Eagles!!

First Gymnastics Meet

My sister competed in her first gymnastics meet on Sunday and got 3rd place in her 9's age group. Great job Caroline! Her team did very well also, but I can't remember what place they got all together..

State Here We Come!!

We made it to the state basketball tournament!! I'm soo excited! We just won our play-in game, yippee! Go lady eagles!

Sick-Again

I'm sick AGAIN! I can't stand it!! Blech.

Valentine's

Snow

I am so happy, there is finally real snow!!! We have only had the icy kind that sticks for a day or two. I need to buy some new winter boots now.

It is so extremely icy outside! I thought is was snowing but when I got outside, it was showering frozen rain!! Bleh! It makes for nice pictures though... Check out my Picture This blog to see them!

First Place

We won first place in our basketball tournament that we host at our school each year. It was lots of fun and we went out to eat afterwards. This is our third tournament we've won in a row, haven't lost one yet!! Go eagles!

Case

The other day I got a case for my new iPod. It's pink and made of silicone.

New iPod

I just got a new iPod 5! I love it, it is so light and cool. It's blue. Now all I need is a case... :)

School

I can't believe we are going back to school tomorrow. I do and don't want to. I can't decide! I want to go just not have homework and projects.

First Place

Yesterday my basketball team got first place at a tournent in Yorkville!!! We won all of our 3 games. We went to Panera for lunch and it was really fun. Can't wait to do it again!

Service Project

I just got back from the Batavia Food Pantry. My mom and I helped work there this morning from 9:30-12:30. I had to do a service project for church confirmation and that's what I did. Now I have to make a poster about what my project was.

Research Paper

I finally finished my research paper!! It's 4 pages and 8 paragraphs long. Yay!
