The Hobbit

Today-well, yesterday since it's Tuesday now-I went to see the movie The Hobbit with my dad. It was amazing, I loved it! I can't wait until the next one comes out, although my dad says it could be around a year's wait. ;(
I am going to continue reading the book right now, happy 2013! Make a new year's resolution to watch The Hobbit. ;)

Soccer and Chipotle

Today we went to my brother's indoor soccer game at 5:30. His team won 4-3, yay! They were winning 4-1 but the other team scored twice in about the last 2 minutes. Grrrrrrr...
After the match we went out to get Chipotle and I read my Nook in the car. I'm reading The Hobbit on it and I think we're going to see the moving tomorrow after my basketball practice.

Introduction

I finished my introduction for my research paper on the California Gold Rush. I feel really happy that I am part way done with it. Only 4 more paragrahs to go...ugh.

Organization

My mom and I organized my super messy closet today. I feel like a whole new person! We are starting on my room tomorrow at 10:00 AM. Can't wait!

Wipeout

I just watched Wipeout tonight for the first time in quite a while. It was really funny and we laughed a lot. I want the game for Kinect so bad now!

Winter

The first day of winter was only the 21st. We still have a long way to go and that means more chances for snow!

Research Paper

Over break I have to write a 3-4 page paper on the California Gold Rush. I was going to start it today and still might, but I'm in the middle of cleaning my closet. It could take a while...

Long Basketball

Yesterday I had 4 hours of basketball practice from 1:00-5:00. My dad and I got to my practice 30 minutes early. Then my team played from 1:30-3:00. After that, my friend Amy and I helped with my brothers practice. They scrimaged the whole time for 2 hours!!
We went home, showered, and my family went out to dinner at El Taco Grande for my dad's birthday.

Book

I am trying to finish my book this weekend. I only have 114 pages left out of 734!!

Snow

I was so happy when I woke up with it snowing this morning! Although it stopped pretty soon. I was then disappointed because it didn't last very long and didn't produce enough snow to play in!!

Times

The times of when I published some of my posts are completely wrong so don't pay attention to them.
BTW: my mouth tastes funny :(

Happy Birthday

Today is my dad's birthday. Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Pool and Ping Pong

For Christmas my dad got our whole family a pool/ping pong table. I'm not very good at pool but I like playing ping pong. The delivery guys brought it to our house and put it up this morning before I went to basketball. We played with it all night other than video games and TV.

Reading

I got up at 7:23 this morning and I have been reading for about 2 hours. I really want to finish my book so I can start one on my Nook!

Nook

My favorite Christmas present was probably a Nook. It is a digital book reader from Barnes and Noble if you don't know what it is. I also got a cool red case for it. I can even rent books from the library on it so I don't have to buy them all the time!

Nails

Yesterday I did my nails with Sally Hansen nail stickers that I got for Christmas. I did some on my sister also. I am upset though becasue I keep losing the sticker for my right hand pointer finger. I have redone it three different times!

Almost Over

First Present

My Christmas Eve presents: nail clippers and a ornament. I just used the nail clippers actually. :)

My sister and I played Playmobile today. We made a really long and confusing story with them. :)

Morning

I've been playing Minecraft all morning on xbox with my brother and sister. My sister is playing right now though and Isaac is at the store.

It's Christmas Eve!! Less than 1 full day left!

Christmas

I completely forgot that we are on Christmas break! It does feel like Christmas but yet it doesn't, if that makes sense. It just feels like another ordinary long weekend, but it's really a two WEEK long "weekend".

Mario Kart

My cousins are over and I'm watching them play Mario Kart Wii with my brother. I am kind of bored. I just finished making some birthday cards. My mom also just let me know that we have basketball the three days right after Christmas. Practice does make close to perfect. :)

Basement

We just got done reorganizing our whole basement. It is kind of messy though because we're not done. We through away and are giving away lots of stuff.

Minecraft

I'm watching my brother play Minecraft on xbox. He is trying to find a "mooshroom" or something. It is really boring just sitting here.

Summer Feeling

Don't you love that feeling that you get in the summer when you wake up in the morning; a bird is singing that certain tune, it smells just right, and the warm sun is shining just barely through your blinds? Now I miss summer so much!! :(

German Christmas

My family and I just got back from celebrating Christmas with my cousins. It was a German theme. We had German food and a German Santa Clause! We also exchanged a few gifts. We played lots of games like Catch Phrase, Spot It, Guesstures, and best of all, SPOONS!!! Spoons is very fun with 11 people. :) If you lost a round, you got a letter. Last one to reach, 'PIG' won.

Gymnastics

My sister is performing in a gymnastics show thing right now. I wanted to go but I have basketball in a few minutes so I can't. My dad and brother are playing xbox in the basement.

Finger Guy

I bought these cute little eyeballs at the store yesterday. You put them on your hand and they look like a person. Adorable!

I'm really hungry so I think I'm going to go and get some breakfast. My brother has already been at basketball for an hour, I have practice at 12 so I have to get ready soon.

Basketball Practice

School ended at 11:30 today and we had basketball practice at 3:30. My mom and I went Christmas shopping first then went to basketball. The hoops were stuck on the ceiling though so we did like nothing all practice. It was so fun! If some people don't understand what I'm saying about the hoops being stuck, they are able to be pulled up and lowered if needed.

Christmas Party

All we did today at school was have chapel, take a history test, and then have a party. It was only a half day and I was very sad because I love school. I can't wait to get back after break already! I hope I did ok on my test, I think I got 1-2 wrong but I'm not positive. I'll miss everyone over break, have a nice Christmas!

Lava Lamp

My mini lava lamp nightlight is broken I think. :( I am so sad, I got it from my mom a while ago and use it every day.

Bad Snow

We had our first snow yesterday, but it stunk. Most of the time it was rain/snow mixed together. It did stick after a while but it's barely anything. I can't wait till the first "real" snow.

Christmas Program

We are making homemade sushi at my house over break. My mom has only made it once before but it was still very good last time. I also made one of my own at the end! Can't wait.

The Hobbit

Has anyone seen the movie The Hobbit yet? The only person I know is my friend Claire. She said it stopped at the perfect point because that's where she's at in the book. :) I think I'm going to see it over break sometime.

Game

We had another basketball game this afternoon against St. Peter Schaumberg. We won 20-27! I scored once. I also made a shot right after the buzzer went off but it didn't count. :( darn. We have a tournament over Christmas break and some practices also I think.

Christmas Program

Our school Christmas program is this Thursday night. My group had 6 lines to memorize. We are also playing hand bells about half way through the service as well. Today was our last rehersal so I'm a little nervous I might mess up... :(

I want to put some Christmas decor up in my room but I really have no time. I also still need to get some people presents. I am thinking about making a Christmas chain because they're fun and cool.

My mom bought me some awesome pepermint Christmas soap from Bath and Body Works. I smells sooo good! I'm wearing some right now. :)

Homework

We have been getting a lot of homework lately and it's also pretty hard. I'm getting stressed out between that, basketball, and flute. /:( I want to have a life outside of a textbook!!

Geography Bee

Today my friend Amy and I were in the school geography bee. I got out in the third round. :) Amy got second place though so yay Amy! She got second place in 4th grade also though which stinks becuase now she's gotten it twice. The spelling bee is also coming up soon I think.

Today is 12-12-12! I hope everyone had a good time because I didn't. ;( I wore a watch to see when it was 12-12-12-12-12-12 (12:12 pm including 12 seconds). I completely forgot to keep checking and when I looked it was 12:14, too late. I almost cried. I'm so upset and today was a bad day anyway.

Anna

My friend Anna is visiting for a few days this week. She got here on Friday and is staying at my friend Amy's house right now. She moved to Michigan before 6th grade and we all really miss her. :( If you're reading this Anna I can't wait to see you on Monday! Hope you had fun at the soccer game today and weren't bored. (Amy said you were coming to watch them) Miss ya!! <3

Homework

Ugh, I have to take notes for History tomorrow as homework. :( I couldn't get anything done in study hall on Friday because we were decorating our classroom with Christmas decor. It was worth having homework for though! Math is getting really hard now. It was easy at the beginning of the year but no I'm having trouble with it every night. ;(

Tree

Last Friday we put our Christmas tree up. It is pretty tall because we have a really high ceiling. It also has lots of ornaments on it. I like the sock monkey, penguin, flamingo, and others the best.

First Game

On Tuesday my basketball team had our very first game. I was in Florida so I missed it and I'm really sad about it. But I am really proud of them because they WON!! And it was against a team that they hadn't won to last year. Go Eagles!! This is an old picture from a tournament two years ago. :)

Magic Kingdom

After Universal for two days, we went to Disney. On Monday we visited the Magic Kingdom. There are seriously like NO scary rollercoasters at Disney, it stinks! Our favorite rides there were Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. We went on them both 3/4 times each. I even video taped Big Thunder Mountain. :)

Harry Potter

At Universal they had tons of stuff to do with Harry Potter which I am very into right now. I am only on book 4 but I have seen most of the movies, too. They had a Harry Potter world with tons of real shops that are actually in the books. They even had food and items from the book to buy! I bought a wand there. The rides were ok but not my favorites.

Universal

The first place we went after visiting my cousins' house was Universal Studios. They had lots of rollercoasters and worlds involving things like Dr. Seuss, Harry Potter, Shrek, The Avengers, cartoon characters, and more. My favorite coaster was Rock It and my second was Hulk. Fun!

Chores

Tomorrow after school we have to start doing chores again. My first one is going to be unpacking the many treasures from my suitcase.

Pets

My fish, George, was very lazy when we got home today. I gave him a travel food block thing for when we were away and I'm not sure if he ate it. It's supposed to last for about a week. It is mostly gone but I don't know. I tried feeding him his normal food but he didn't eat it...

Thank you Amy for watching the hermit crabs! We'll be over to pick them up soon. I'm sure you took great care of them and they probably had lots of fun in a different home for a change.

Skiing and Snow

I hope it snows soon so I can go skiing! I looove snow, skiing, and winter activities! I still have to buy boots, pants, and maybe gloves though so I'm not really prepared. I AM dreaming of a white Christmas!

Homework

My siblings and I all have lots of homework even though we only missed 3 days of school. We spent most of tonight working on it after dinner. I haven't even finished one day's work yet. :( I have 3 tests to do sometime also. It is horrible!!

Florida

Thanksgiving break just ended for me. We went to Florida last Wednesday and just got back today. I missed three days of school, which I am not happy about. We went to my cousins' house, Universal, and Disney over vacation. It was super fun and I didn't want to leave. I spent the rest of the night doing homework.

Basketball

I have basketball today and I really don't feel like going. Last time I had a really bad stomach ache and I felt horrible. I think it's because I ate a bad lunch or ate at the wrong time or something. :( I hope that doesn't happen again. BTW: When I went shopping I also got new socks for my basketball shoes.

Shopping

I went shopping yesterday with my mom and siblings. I got a skirt and shirt for Christmas and another shirt just bacause I wanted it. :) I also got a new winter coat.

Florida

Tomorrow we are leaving around lunchtime to go to the airport because we're going to Florida!! We are spending Thanksgiving at our cousins' house and then going to Disney. I'm so excited! Other than I have to finish packing today and I HATE packing!! ;(

Last night I woke up at 1:28 am and I was about to fall of my bed so I ended up sleeping on the floor. I woke up like 10 minutes ago and then went back to bed. I had had a dream about playing xbox (I may have been playing it too much). :)

Shopping

Tomorrow we are going shopping for new snow clothes. I don't even have a winter coat! I also need boots, snow pants, and maybe gloves. I hope we get a chance to go to Kohl's to look at dresses for Christmas.

I just changed into my sock monkey pj pants. I'm so bored and not very sleepy. I cants wait till Xmas!

Laser Tag

For my brother's birthday party yesterday, we went laser tagging. It was super fun. My code name was Jellyfish. After that we had pizza and played in the arcade. With my tickets-291 to be exact- I bought 97 army men. The guy working there must have thought I was crazy! When I got home, my aunt, uncle, cousins, siblings, and parents helped me name each of them. And they all have a number on the bottom so I can keep them straight. :)

Hand Bells

At the school Christmas service this year, my class is playing hand bells. I got the two tiniest bells!! I'm so happy! Although my part is pretty repetitive.

Thanksgiving Feast

every year on the last day of school before Thanksgiving break, we have an early feast. The 7/8 graders have to help serve and set up. I set up chairs and placemats. After that we had a chapel service. When the feast started, I had the job of dishing out food to the younger kids. After that I helped serve at other tables and ate turkey and pie. :)

Goodbye, Elisabeth!

My friend Elisabeth just had her last day of school on Friday because she is moving to Georiga. :( We will all miss her a lot. And if you're reading this Elisabeth, I hope you're adjusting to your new home and school and that you make lots of friends. Don't forget to email!

Harry Potter

I'm almost finished with the third Harry Potter book. I am determined to finish it tonight! I also plan to read a lot of other books of Thanksgiving break when I have time.

Let It Snow

Yipee! There's frost on the rooftops!! In many small sections there's even some frosty snow! I'm so excited!!!!!!!

Good morning! My alarm went off three times before I got up. :) woah, why did my sound just randomly go off?? Well, it's back on now but that was creepy... Argh, what to wear...? Addidas sweat pants, or black stretchy yoga pants? Ahhhh!!! My sound is off again! It's freaking me out! :(

Shower

I have to shower now. :( I hate showers. I also have to pick up my room sometime tomorrow which I hate doing but it is pretty messy and I like it organized. We had no homework today! I was so happy. :)

Done with Dinner

I finished my dinner of macaroni and cheese and an apple! Yum. :) I also had some of my Halloween candy for dessert.

Home Again

I just arrived home from basketball practice. My brother just said my basketball shoes are weird! :( They are not!! Anyways, I'm watching tv right now and I have to go make myself some dinner. :( gtg

I'm watching the newest season of Finding Bigfoot! They just found broken sticks, oh my! A Sasquatch must have done it!! I like how they have quotes at the bottom of the screen from the main people now.

I can't wait until Christmas! Most stores have been ready since before Halloween. I hope there's lots of snow and many opportunities for ice skating this year.

Happy early birthday, Mommy! My mom's birthday is tomorrow but I wanted to celebrate a day before in case I forget or don't have time to later. :) It is also my uncle's birthday on the same day. Hope you guys have a good time!!
